2015 – A Year Of Change
2015 was a year of a turnaround for the entire belt of Kalyan-Dombivali. MMRDA, a governing authority of that particular region has allocated a sum of total Rs 1,089 Cr for developing Kalyan as BKC like centre. This fund will be utilized for generating employment & development of the region. This fund will also be utilized for upgrading stations like Kalyan & Nile. At the present moment lots of people are travelling to Mumbai for employment but, once these business hubs start functioning the commuting time will be reduced drastically.
Walk to work will soon be coming true for societies in this area & biggest beneficiary of this development will be Palava Residents as this is the biggest township program in Dombivali which will be home to thousands of residents. So, one can imagine the type of traction these business hubs will generate when Palava will be fully occupied.
Also, Kalyan & Dombivali are among the first smart cities in India, which itself means that huge amount of fund would be dispatched in this region for their development & growth. Even, CM of Maharashtra is fully inclined to develop these regions as Maharashtra’s best region to stay & work.
Diva residents have finally a reason to cheer about. Rail Vikas corporation, have taken an extra pair of track between Thane & Diva for extension of routes & platform. So, in upcoming time slow as well as the fast train will halt at Diva station. Along, with this railway minister has announced a new line to Kalwa to Airoli & a higher train capacity on Diva-Panvel line.
